These Blue Sea Systems four-position battery switches can provide 500 amps of current for large diesel engines. These switches can switch the isolated battery pack to all loads, or combine the battery pack to all loads, and have tinned copper studs for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. The stud accepts 1/2″ (M12) ring terminals and has a 7/8″ stud length (22mm) that can accommodate multiple cable terminals. Accepts up to 4/0 AWG battery cables. Blue Sea Systems’ one-piece terminal design will not loosen over time. One-piece stainless steel flange nuts ensure a safe and reliable connection. Suitable for most Perko and Guest low-current battery switch hole styles. The chassis design allows surface or rear panel mounting options. The tactile indicator communicates the position of the knob through tactile sensation. The 5444 includes an AC generator excitation isolation switch (AFD), which protects the diode in the alternator when the switch is switched to the OFF position when the engine is running. If you do not use AFD to protect the alternator, you can connect an LED to the AFD terminal to indicate when the battery switch is in any position other than OFF. !!!!—-
